Ravens Wood School Celebrates 2025 GCSE Results
Ravens Wood School is thrilled to share the exceptional achievements of our students in this year’s GCSE examinations. Despite the challenges faced by this cohort – who began their secondary journey during the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic – they have shown remarkable resilience and determination, securing results that continue to demonstrate our commitment to academic excellence, high aspirations, and the strength of our supportive learning environment.
Core Subjects Success
- Mathematics: 79% of students achieved grades 9–4, with an impressive 55% securing a grade 5 or higher.
- English: Over 81% of students attained grades 9–4, and 61% achieved grade 5 or above.
- English & Maths Combined: 75% of our students achieved a standard pass (9–4) in both subjects.
- High Achievers: 379 grades awarded across all subjects were at the top end (grades 9–7), including 50 in English and 50 in Maths.
Subject Highlights
Our students continue to shine across a wide range of academic and creative disciplines:
- Sciences remain a standout strength
- - Physics: 98% grades 9–5, with 55% at grade 7 or above
- - Chemistry: 89% grades 9–5, with 50% at grade 7 or above
- - Biology: 93% grades 9–5, with 52% at grade 7 or above
- History and Geography: each saw 25% of grades awarded top grades at 9–7
- Computer Science: achieved 73 % of grades at 9 –5 including 42 % at 9-7
- Drama: 80% achieved grades 9–4,
- Design Technology, French, Media and PE: 71% achieved grades 9–4
Global Languages, Global Outlook
Students achieved GCSEs in Community Languages, including Turkish, Chinese, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese– with four Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and Grade 7s among the results.
These achievements reflect the hard work and talent of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support from our wider school community. We are immensely proud of all our students and look forward to many of them continuing their journey with us in the Sixth Form.

- Sky Wu: 3 Grade 9s and 4 Grade 8s
- Rexen Logronio: 8 grades at 9-7
- Callum Murray: 12 Grades at 9-7

Their success across such a wide range of GCSE subjects reflects the strength of our broad and rigorous Key Stage 4 curriculum.
Most importantly, these results open doors for our students, giving them choices and opportunities for the years ahead. We are thrilled to be welcoming so many of them back into our exceptional Sixth Form, and we wish every single student the very best in whatever path they choose next.
