Induction & Bridging July 2019

Congratulations on finishing your GCSEs!

Invitations to our Induction Days have been sent out and these are taking place on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th July 2019. The day will start at 9.00am and finish at 3pm. Students should sign in at the Sixth Form Centre and should be in formal business wear, as per our Sixth Form dress code below:

SF Uniform

Students will attend a taster lesson in their chosen subjects and have access to the Sixth Form facilities all day, including the Sixth Form Refectory where they will be able to purchase lunch and refreshments.

Our Bridging Week commences on Monday 8th July. Lessons during this week will get students started on their chosen courses and summer pre-course tasks will be set. The timetable for Bridging Week is now available below.

Please note students are only required to attend their subject specific sessions and will not need to attend school all day across that week.

The purpose of Induction and the Bridging Week is to enable students to make the transition into key stage 5 with ease. In our experience students have found the sessions and the tasks set, very useful, which has enabled them to ‘hit the ground running’ at the start of the Autumn term.
