Ravens Wood School is an Academy which, has been successfully self-governed since 1988.

The term of office of all Governors is four years, with the Chair and Vice Chair of the Full Governing Body and all sub committees being elected every year.  The Full Governing Body meets once every term; the Finance and Buillding sub committees meet twice a term and Personnel, Audit, Policy and Curriculum committees meet termly.

Other sub committees such as Admissions and Discipline meet as and when required.
