RWS11 Offer

On Wednesday 19th July, Year 10 students spent the morning in a number of sessions to prepare them for transition into Year 11 after the upcoming Summer holidays.

In the morning, students were presented with their end-of-year examination results, before attending an assembly by Mr Leitch, Assistant Headteacher, on the support and provisions which will be put in place to support all students through Year 11. Parents/carers have been sent a copy of the RWS11 Offer, which details all of the support available to students. This package of measures include:

  • A period 6 study session;
  • Silent study provision in the Learning Commons;
  • Individual careers interviews;
  • Academic review meetings with Mr Leitch;
  • Two parents' evenings;
  • Easter School; and
  • Interventions sessions during PM registration and after school.

During the RWS11 Transition Day, students were given a Period 6 taster session, as well as their log-in details for the invaluable PiXL English and PiXL Maths Apps, which promote independent learning, both at School and home.

A list of Summer tasks for English, Maths and Science have also been sent home to parents/careers.
